Jurassic World star Chris Pratt has been teasing plot details for Jurassic World 3, sharing that he was “blown away” by what they have planned.
Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing respectively, and the film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who returns to directing duties after sitting out Fallen Kingdom.
So far details about the upcoming movie have been pretty scarce – but that didn’t stop MTV News from asking Pratt about what’s in store for Jurassic World 3 during a recent interview.
And while Pratt is still keeping pretty coy about the details, the actor did seem to let slip that the movie will feature a time jump and will also expand upon the cloning technology unveiled at the end of the second movie.
“I can’t say anything, but I can tell you when I heard the pitch, I was blown away,” he said.
“I can’t believe that we’re going to make that movie, and I can’t believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
“Like, ‘Wait what? The island has blown up. The animals are out, we can’t put them back in the box. What are we going to do? How are not only these dinosaurs but this technology moving forward going to affect the planet?’
“We jump forward, and it’s like, ‘Oh! Oh, right! Oh, damn’. It’s going to be pretty epic… You will not be disappointed.”
Jurassic World 3 will hit cinemas on June 11, 2021.
