Kwame Adinkra, a renowned broadcast Journalist has released his 3rd debut album made up of 15-tracks dubbed ‘Kosopre’ which redefines shades of love and sheds light on social happenings with contemporary Ghanaian and African rhythms.
The VGMA Record of the Year 2012 winner with his first two albums which had hits like Bracket, Piipi, Afrakoma and Abena Danso is set to feed his followers again with a masterpiece after his first two albums “Mmoatiahene” and “Feyiase”.
Taking a quick scan through the songs on the album, we have the “Kosopre” album starting with a love song “Parasite Me”; makes a plea to a lover to feed on his wealth and love for life. The song, also, gives commendations and accolades to some prominent businessmen in Kumasi; Dr. Agyaba Afriyie, Dr. Kwaku Oteng, Dr. Christian Agyemang and Dr. Thomas Aboagye Dompem.
“Number One” is a proverbial tribute song to Eunice Attakora Manu (Akoto Mansa), pledging continuous support and affection for her hard work.
Bitterness and frustrations that sometimes ensue in marriages are depicted in the song “Fiona”, as happiness and joy expressed in “Bome Powder”. A beautiful love stage is set in the song “Nunu Me”, while tears of sorrow got captured in “Job Nisuo.”
“Rock my Boat” has a typical zouk-love rhythm and echoes motivation and assurance, as “Wobeku Me” further deepens commitment and loyalty.
Acknowledgement of regret is expressed in the song “Sim”, and a special mention of Seychelles is conveyed in “Babianiha”.
“Talou”, is a song that seeks to break and reverse some uncompromising traditions and customs of Africa. The album concludes with a francophone party song “Samedi Soir.”
On why he released the album, he noted, “over the years as a broadcaster I have been influenced and motivated by the kind of music l share with my audience. The wisdom and inspiration from listeners and resource persons have shaped this album greatly.”
