Alliance Francaise on Saturday saw “the brighter side” of music composition and a world class energetic performance coupled with beautiful event goers full of life who turn out on the night to support the offing’s sensation – Lamisi as she launched her debut album christened “The Brighter Side”.
The album which was inspired by everything love could give and offer was not just launched on the night, but was laced up with a top notch live performance that redefined music for lovers and brought hope and smiles to the faces of all who felt real music has taken a plunge.
On the night all the songs on her Debut album “The Brighter Side” was performed for the amusement of the crowd who could not help but to do some beat timing. My lips simmer with praise as I watched the well dressed, mannered and crafted female musician who knows the balance between being sexy, but not showing skin perform with support from Patch Bay Band – I may not understand most of the words she sang but my heart melded with her music. Live music and good music know no language barrier.
The avuncular event ambiance was graced with the presence of Mr. Rex Omar, the President of GHAMRO who bought the first copy of the album, Kiki Banson, Highlifer Ben Brako among others were there to support the budding songstress. The “In Heaven There’s No Bear” crooner Atongo, world renowned award winning singer Samini and Nana Asaase a prolific poet all took their turn to bless us on the night with performances.
Congratulations to the new entrant, Lamisi who is known in real life as Regina Lamisi Awiniman Anabilla Akuku on the successful launch of her debut album and concert. We wish her all the best in her musical journey. Below are pictures from the event.
