Fast rising Ghanaians Musician Manuel Nonbada who calls himself the Afro-Highlife Boy hints a new collaboration with fast rising afrobeats sensations Kelvyn Boy. The record which is expected to be all over your airwaves Friday Sept 21 is a blend of afrobeats and highlife produced by the Bank of Beats Legend himself Shottoh Blinqx.
Talking to Manuel he said making this particular song was very funny because we made this song in 2 Days. He said “Shottoh came by the house studio and we were just vibing on next projects and what strategies to take and he chanced on a kick and started making a beat. The first word and melody that came to mind was Nukata; an ewe word which means why. He layed the grooved and I jumped on it imediately with a hook. I then sat down to listen more and wrote a verse. After we recorded shottoh said; you know say Kelvyn Boy and you for this song go be killer? I said call him. Kelvyn came to the house the next day and layed his verses too. After that we had some good omotuo and Ab3 ahahahaha. It was a good vibe. I loved working with Kelvyn Boy. It’s was super fun and easy because we both understood each other quicker”.
The song is titled Nukata meaning Why. It was mixed and mastered by the big man himself Possi Gee.
