The tour takes the award-winning Nigerian singer from his native Nigeria in September, to the United States and Canada in whole of October. He will make stops across 17 cities, including Washington, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Columbus, Atlanta, Dallas, and more. The tour follows Mayorkun’s blistering career, which has seen him credited with notable crossover hits in the last year.
Acclaimed as “The Mayor of Lagos,” Mayorkun gained recognition 2016 after a video of him singing a cover of Davido’s ‘The Money’ went viral. He signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and released his first single ‘Eleko’.
His debut album, The Mayor of Lagos, was released in 2018 and peaked at number 15 on the Billboard World Albums chart. In 2020, he released the Geng EP – a three-track EP that brings together Nigeria’s M.I, YCee, Kwesi Arthur (Ghana), Riky Rick (South Africa), Rayvanny (Tanzania) and Innoss B (DRC).
