American mixed martial artist and current MMA world champion, Bubba Jenkins, who touched down in Ghana some few days back to get in touch with his roots and also help promote the MMA sport in Ghana has paid an honouring visit to the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli state Togbe Afede XIV.
In light of the love and support he got from his trip, Bubba Jenkins has presented his championship belt to Togbui Afede XIV; the one who sponsored for him [Bubba] to visit Ghana. The world champion’s visit to Ghana was purposely to help develop the MMA scene in the country and help also help him discover his identity as a Ghanaian.
As part of his activities in Ghana, Mr Jenkins visited the forts and castles in Cape Coast, he watched chaired an MMA exhibition fight to see what Ghana MMA could offer, Participating in the flamboyant Accra city night life etc.
Bubba Jenkins who is overwhelmed by the warm reception he got from the people of Ghana presented his Brave Combat Championship Belt to Togbe Afede XIV as a sign of Respect and Honor for the support he has shown him and also his [Togbe Afede XIV] commitment to make Ghana MMA rise to the top.
Bubba Jenkins’ record as an MMA fighter is 14 wins. 6 of his wins came by Knockout, 3 came by submission and 5 came by way of unanimous decision.
