Mr. Eazi, a Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner, will make a comeback with the seven-track EP “Maison Rouge,” which reimagines his distinctive Banku Music style.
“Maison Rouge,” which takes its name from the Cotonou residence where it was designed, embodies the cosiness, closeness, and spirit of early Eazi masterpieces like “Skin Tight” and “Bankulize” while incorporating new, modern textures.
The project, which features production by P. Priime, E. Kelly, Kel-P, and others, combines romance, introspection, and rhythm in notable songs including “Violence,” “Casanova,” and “Make E No Tey.”
Mr. Eazi’s Maison Rouge is a love letter to his beginnings, his early fans, and the enduring spirit of African innovation, with over two billion plays and a legacy of influencing Afropop worldwide.
