Beating stiff competition from Epixode, Jupitar, Samini, Ras Kuuku, Wendy Shay, and others, Jadon Shatta Entertainment prodigy, Larruso has won the “Best Reggae / Dancehall Video of the Year” for his 2020 music video “Killy Killy” remix featuring BET Award Winner, Stonebwoy and Ghanaian Hip Hop artist, Kwesi Arthur at the just ended MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards.
Killy Killy Remix which was forced released in December 2020 due to a leak has been gaining the required buzz and currently topping charts. In the video, shot and directed by Abeiku Simonson, the three recording and performing talents were captured in a myriad of locations in the vibrant Ashaiman city performing the song and trading their carefully crafted verses atop a dancehall production.
Larruso is a Ghanaian recording and performing Reggae/Dancehall artist who hails from Accra Newtown. Known for his command for the street, Larruso as popularly known breaks out to stardom with his single hit “Killy Killy”
Other winners on the night were announced in a special ceremony held in Accra on Friday, May 28, 2021. Among the winners for the night was Kuami Eugene who picked up 3 awards including the Best Highlife Video, Best Storyline and Best Edited Video. His collaborative work with Sarkodie, Happy Day also won the Best Collaboration Video.
The 11th edition of the prestigious music video awards was held at the Kwarleyz Residence in Accra on Friday, May 28.
