“MY LOST FRIEND” Tipped For GAW Literary Awards 2018.  

Writer and Poet, Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. has been shortlisted for an award in the Spoken Word category for the Ghana Association of Writers (GAW) Literary Awards 2018 With his piece titled, “My Lost Friend” a tribute to his late pal Kwabena Akyeampong a.k.a ‘Shitman’ who kicked the bucket on 31st December, 2013.

The writer adheres to the rules of literature and weaves an emotional literary work. He uses the appropriate literary devices coupled with a brilliant rhyme scheme to prepare a valuable piece. He touches on their friendship, moments shared and a truncated future together.

Speaking to georgebritton.com, the poet was very thankful to God for the talent bestowed on him. He said,”the best gift one can offer humanity is to document events, therefore if you’ve been blessed with it, the least you could do is to use it positively. My compositions were known to only my close circle, but ‘My Lost Friend’ took it to the world.” It was programmed by Linkin Beatz and was released on 1st January, 2017.

The GAW Literary Awards will be held on Saturday, 24th November, 2018 from 6:00pm at the PAWA House at Roman Ridge, Accra.
