Nasty C Discusses New Album ‘FREE’ & New Song ‘Switch’ In The Truck’ with Doritos

As he prepares to release his eagerly awaited fifth studio album, “FREE,” rap sensation Nasty C has partnered with the international snack company Doritos. The rapper appears in the most recent episode of the first-ever Fearlessly Flavourful social series, In The Truck. He talks candidly about the inspiration behind his new album, Feel Free, and gives fans an exclusive look at the first single from his most recent album, “Switch,” which will be released on Friday, September 12.

South Africa’s most captivating characters are brought to the Doritos Loaded Truck in the must-watch social series In The Truck, which combines cuisine and culture. At some of the most popular events across the nation, celebrities elevate their snacking game by creating Doritos Loaded meals while talking about their passions, jobs, and distinctive interpretations of culture and flavour.

In the most recent episode of In The Truck, Nasty C releases an exclusive teaser for his lead song, “Switch,” a moving hymn in which he considers both the family he was born into and the one he has created for himself. Along with giving fans a first look at this lead single from the upcoming album “FREE,” Nasty C also performs a daring freestyle to motivational lyrics from the album, urging listeners to celebrate the victories of those in their immediate vicinity.

In the episode, Nasty C candidly reflects on his new album:

“My new album ‘FREE’ is basically inspired by wanting to be free, but also just feeling very free. Free from a lot of things that have had like a hold on me, whether it’s mentally or literally. Fans can expect to hear some honest music in there, some vulnerability, a lot of like introspective stuff, but also some vibes, some club bangers, you know, something that you can dance to,” The rapper said.

Nasty C’s eagerly awaited album, which will be released on September 12th, is his fifth studio album and the first on his own label, Tall Racks. It marks the beginning of a bold new era for the Durban native. “FREE” is a project that reflects the rapper’s journey as a man regaining his voice, his time, and his truth, as well as his path as an artist. It is a sonic declaration of freedom.

In order to introduce the brand’s daring Grilled BBQ Flavour and provide material that is equally daring and unexpected, the In The Truck series launched last year and featured well-known podcasters, content creators, models, and artists.

”Doritos is all about encouraging consumers to be bold enough to be themselves,” commented Jaydee Newman, Brand Manager for Doritos at PepsiCo South Africa. “With In The Truck we are taking it a step further by merging culinary cuisine with culture in partnership, telling the real stories of personalities who embody bold self-expression. We’re excited to collaborate with the boldest rapper in the game, Nasty C, on this episode and we look forward to sharing his journey and the journeys of others.”
