A sneaker industry source tells Complex that Jordan Brand will collaborate with Nike SB on an Air Jordan 4 set to release in March 2023. There have been no photos of the upcoming project leaked, and the image shown here is of the 2019 retro “Bred” Air Jordan 4.
The Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 will feature a heel tab with the Nike SB logo instead of the Nike Air or Jumpman logos, according to Nice Kicks. According to a source, the SB-style Air Jordan 4 will be retooled for skateboarding..
There were rumors about Nike’s skateboarding division collaborating with Michael Jordan’s Nike sub-brand years before the first Nike SB x Air Jordan project was released. The intra-Nike collaboration was realized in 2014 with the release of an Air Jordan 1 designed in collaboration with skateboard artist and photojournalist Craig Stecyk.
Subsequent Jordan Brand and Nike SB collaborations have included wear-away pairs like the black and white Lance Mountain versions from 2014, as well as the “NYC to Paris” and “LA to Chicago” colorways from 2019.
