Omah Lay earns partnership deal with Sprite, announces North America tour dates

Omah Lay has earned a partnership with Sprite for company’s first music campaign called Sprite Limelight.

The music oriented campaign, based on an exclusive partnership with some of the world’s most talented musicians, aims to unite music fans from diverse cultures and influences by introducing a new approach of generating music that celebrates the individual’s unique creativity.

The sensational afro-fusion artiste will join American rapper Coi Leray and prolific singer Hua Chenyu, hailing from China. The outcome of their collaboration will reportedly be presented in a documentary format for music films titled Heat Confessionals. The project will be anchored by Grammy winning producer James Blake.

Elated Omah Lay believes it is a unique medium to flaunt his Nigerian heritage. He said, “It means a lot to me to be a part of the Sprite Limelight program, an unimaginable alternative for me to share my tradition with the world. I really feel blessed to be amongst these different nice artists to deliver one thing refreshing and optimistic to the world; large Shout out to James Blake for the mastermind behind the music, absolute legend!”

Omah Lay is one leading Nigeria voices redefining Afrobeats for the new age. As the second most-streamed Nigerian artist on Boomplay in 2021 and with the recent release of his Warner Records debut album Boy Alone, he is quickly establishing himself as a rising global star.

Early this year, he teamed up with popular fashion brand BoohooMan, and later earned a collaboration with multi-award-winning artist, Justin Beiber on Attention and a single titled Woman. Months ago, he signed a deal with American independent rights management and publishing company Kobalt months ago.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian singer will begin touring in North America with his Boy Alone album on September 7th. Find tickets here.

The tour, produced by Live Nation and Duke Concept, will make stops across the United States and Canada, including major cities such as Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles, with additional dates to be announced soon. It comes after the musician’s recent performances in Europe in April, May, and June.
