OSAGYEFO’s NIGHT’19: Trigmatic Readies For The Historical Musical Concert.

The concert is slated for September 21, 2019, 7:00pm at the Alliance Française, Accra. Initiated in 2018, the event is a continuation of an annual concert programmed to be held on the eve of Nkrumah’s birthday which also happens to be a national holiday in Ghana.

The concert also has the objective of celebrating a life well lived, legacies of freedom, achievements in music and values that Nkrumah believed in. It also seek to celebrate Osagyefo Nkrumah’s change and progress in Africa; All through music.

Kwame Nkrumah Privy Council-PC (21 September 1909[a] – 27 April 1972) was a Ghanaian politician and revolutionary. He was the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, having led the Gold Coast to independence from Britain in 1957. An influential advocate of pan-Africanism, Nkrumah was a founding member of the Organisation of African Unity and winner of the Lenin Peace Prize in 1962.

He opened doors that chartered new paths and contributed to the success of African music today. From Highlife, the Afrobeats of Fela’s time, down to what it is today. Ghana, and the African continent owe a lot to Nkrumah’s vision & love for music. An example set for leaders of generations to come.

However, the “Osagyefo Night” musical concert will see Trigmatic perform a two hour, 30minutes set to guests and patrons of the event. He’ll perform songs from his vast collection, catalogue as well as other very notable tunes from great African music acts including, Hugh Masekela, Youssou N’dour, Osibisa, Fela, and others.

The awards winning rapper will be joined by other Ghanaian performing and recording artistes, including Dela Botri, Ozzie & The Others, A.J. Nelson & the Africa Band, Sonny Rhymes, Epixode, the Safoa Band and a few more surprises.

The concert will take goers on a musical journey into songs that inspired and articulately tells the history of the African Leader. It will also give patrons an informative and very entertaining look into a life well lived by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
