SoundCloud‘s ‘First On SoundCloud,’ an initiative to celebrate the inspiring stories and raw energy of creators who start on SoundCloud first. ‘First on SoundCloud‘ was brought about to promote emerging talents on the platform through new music, video, and photography.
On Wednesday, 24th March 2021 SoundCloud announced the nine emerging artists featured on the 2021 First on SoundCloud artist accelerator programme, including Canada-based Zimbabwean hip hop artist Charmaine, Gambian-British rapper Pa Salieu, Ela Minus, Kid Quill, Lourdiz, Otis Kane, Payday, Sofia Mills, and SoFaygo.
First on SoundCloud has always been about amplifying emerging arts and driving discovery for listeners. With the new accelerator programme, SoundCloud works directly with the artists to help them drive real, meaningful advances in their careers while helping them reach new creative milestones and growing their global fan base.

SoundCloud says the programme will include a multi-phase, year-long investment and focus on dedicated investment in co-creating each artist’s career milestones to help drive their long-term success.
