Ghanaian dancehall artiste and President of Shatta movement, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known by his stage name as Shatta Wale has reacted to news circulating that Jamaican act, Popcaan has begged him for a collaboration, saying he is not a hype artiste.
Popular online news portals had earlier carried a reportage claiming that the Jamaican act has begged the SM boss for a collaboration following a tweet by him.
However, Shatta Wale reacting to the news that have gained attention on social media, stated emphatically and unequivocally that the Unruly boss has not begged him for a collaboration.
He in his response through a social media post, described Popcaan as a superstar and Worldstar, wondering why it has been said that he has begged he, Shatta wale for a collaboration.
According to him, the Jamaican act and ” El Chapo” hitmaker is rather giving him a chance to shine.
The ” 1 Don” hitmaker held the view that Popcaan is trying to help the sad and vicious Ghanaian music industry.
” So when will we learn Ghana… How can you say this to a world Star… You won’t even say ” thank you Popcaan for giving Shatta wale the chance to shine” or something better for the world to see that another superstar is giving your own brother a chance.. This is the reason I left Ghana coz these things will one day make me SIN!!! Popcaan never begged me for a collaboration. He just wants to help our sad and vicious music industry.
