The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is set to hold a virtual Tribute Concert today 30th April 2021 for the late former President of the Republic and founder of the major opposition National Democratic Congress, H.E John Jerry Rawlings.
Jerry John Rawlings died last year 2020, on the 12th of November after suffering from a short sickness.
The former President and NDC founder had earlier buried his late mother before passing on. He died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on 12th November after his short illness.
Rawlings was laid in state at the Accra Conference Center. His befitting funeral was held at the independence Square. He was buried at popular Cemetery, Burma Camp.
The upcoming Tribute Concert in honour of the late Head of State is scheduled to be broadcasted on Accra based Television station, Adom TV at exactly 9:00 PM.
Musicians billed to perform at the concert include, Grammy Awards nominee and International act, Rocky Dawuni, ‘ Things Fall Apart’ hitmaker, Kofi Kinaata and legendary and iconic Highlife singer brain behind ‘ Sika Y3 Mogya’ hit song, Pat Thomas.
