Ghanaian musician and self-proclaimed Dancehall king in a tweet suggested that he can’t travel out for shows until approved by the President.
In the wake of an undying debate about Ghanaian musicians not being able to fill show venues not even in neighboring African countries, it’s obvious Shatta Wale is stating his reasons for not playing more shows outside Ghana.
In a tweet he likened himself to a Minister, though I can’t tell when he was appointed saying, “we the ministers can’t travel outside without approval”.
The president of Ghana has issued a directive restricting the lavish travel of ministers of state and its surprising to hear Shatta wale say, same applies to him and that he doesn’t want to loose his job.
He tweeted, “Only the president of Ghana approves my shows outside Ghana cos he says we the ministers can’t travel outside without approval …So please if you want to book me..Flagstaff house straight. I don’t want to lose my job Daddy I love you @NAkufoAddo”.
I’m yet to find out which ministry he was assigned and his job description.
