Simple Substitutions Are So Difficult for Otto Addo – MP for Old Tafo Vincent Assafuah

Member of Parliament for Old Tafo Vincent Assafuah Esq has criticized the head coach of the Black Stars over some of his decisions during the team’s matches.

The MP’s comments come after the Black Stars’ recent 1-0 win against Mali in the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, which many Ghanaians believe the national team, including the coach, underperformed.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM’s ‘Cruise Control’, Vincent Assafuah expressed great displeasure with the national team’s recent performances.

According to him ”I don’t see why simple substitutions that are to be made are so difficult for Otto-Addo”

The MP also spoke about the impressive performance of Black Stars’ new call-up Kwesi Sibo. ”The decision to start Kwesi Sibo right after a late call-up tells me something is wrong,” said the MP.

Hon. Assafua continued ”Kwesi Sibo’s late call-up tells me that there are equally excellent footballers who don’t get called up just because they are not in the books or being managed by certain people”

Reflecting on his abandoned football career, he disclosed that he played football with Ebenezer Ofori, who was called up to the Black Stars 5 years ago.
