On March 24, British Basketball League giants, London Lions, hosted Ghanaian international musician, Stonebwoy at the Copper Box Arena to witness a thrilling BBL game against Newcastle Eagles.
The afropop, reggae, and dancehall genius marked his appearance at the league game by giving the world a first look at an exclusive piece of merch: the Euro Varsity Jacket, one of a limited edition of the London Lions’ new collaboration with Danny Williams’ Beautiful Struggles. The new drop was officially unveiled on March 28 and is currently being retailed at £350.00 GBP (₵5,000 GHS) on shop.thelondonlions.com.
LDN x Beautiful Struggles Euro Varsity Jacket comes with each patch individually stitched on the tonal cream and grey varsity. Each patch represents a specific chapter in the evolution of the London team as a British basketball franchise. Including the signature globe logo on the reverse, the crown iconography to the chest, the signature E20 postcode – the spiritual home of the club at the Copper Box Arena – as well the ‘Life Is A Beautiful Struggle’ mantra stitched into the heart of the jacket. Together, these patches commemorate all the individual lessons and successes that have defined the individual dreams and collective strength of the squad.
Stonebwoy is gearing up for the release of his much anticipated album “5th Dimension”, which is set to arrive on April 28 via Universal Music/DefJam Recordings. It will debut as his first body of work since his historic global signing with Universal Music Group (UMG) label divisions Def Jam Recordings, 0207 Def Jam, and Def Jam Africa back in May 2022. He has been in London in recent weeks embarking on media activation, meeting with executives in the creative space.
