Stonebwoy’s ‘Ashaiman To The World Festival’ is scheduled for September 3

UPDATED: Stonebwoy has announced date for the grand return of this year’s edition of Ashaiman To The World Festival (previously known as the Ashaiman To The World Concert).

Now in its 7th edition, the event has earned recognition as one of the most popular and largest artist-led free music festivals in Africa that celebrates arts, culture and music in his native town Ashaiman. This year’s edition is scheduled for its ritual venue ‘Saka Saka Park’, Ashaiman on September 3, 2022, after being postponed twice due to coronavirus concerns.

Following the success of the 2019 edition, which drew 100,000 people, this year’s edition is expected to be a week-long celebration. The event will reportedly come paired with variety of options, including sporting activities, health care events, that will prelude the main music night.

The concert night, like previous editions, is expected to bring together local residents and visitors from around the world to experience incredible music performances at Ashaiman’s iconic Saka Saka Park. Once again, Stonebwoy hopes to shine a spotlight on the town and its people that helped shape him into the successful and creative artist he is today.

The last edition of Ashaiman To The World Festival was held in November of 2019 at its ritual venue. The event saw the Sakasaka Park in Ashaiman parked with patrons who trooped there to see their favourite acts perform. The event set the record as the most attended outdoor event in Ghana with over 100,000 thousand attendees.

Stay tuned as the 2022 music lineup and timelines will be revealed soon.
