After lauding the Creative Arts and Tourism under the able management of the Minister of Tourism, Hon. Catherine Afeku for elevating the face of Ghana’s culture, Ghanaian born rapper Micheal Owusu Addo, who performs as Sarkodie, has urged the government to invest into video directors, and photographers to take quality photos to draw in investors.
According to the multiple awards winning rapper, Ghana is blessed with lots of content, good culture, good tourism centres, good environment undiluted talents which needs to be documented to be sold to the world to attract both investors and tourists.
The rapper indicated that, people extend their tour to Dubai, South Africa, just because of the quality photos and video they see on the internet, adding that, Rwanda keeps publishing high quality photos of Kigali which has increased per capital income.
In a tweet, the Black Entertainment Tv (BET) award winner revealed that, elite countries such as United States of America(USA), China, United Kingdom(UK), Russia, wasn’t sold to the masses through books but through their well invested creative arts industry, thus, movies and music which has attracted investors psychologically.
The two times Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Artiste of the year, Sarkodie noted that, countries that invests their quota and take their entertainment industry serious, gets the worldwide attention and recognition and that attracts a lot of businesses.
However, the ‘Can’t Let You Go’ hit maker urge African artists including himself to allocate greater amount of their talent to show their beautiful continent to the world, adding that, the is world is ruled by art.
Meanwhile, Rapper Sarkodie has tasked the government to support and fund highlife artiste, Okyeame Kwame’s new project tagged “Made In Ghana”, which is geared towards inculcating a sense of national pride, foster music tourism and expose indigenous music fusion to it diaspora.
Okyeame Kwame is set to release his album titled ‘Made in Ghana’, which he has dedicated to promote products that are originally made in Ghana both on social media and his music activities.
The album has 10 songs, each of which mirrors the culture of the region it represents. It features 10 different artistes from the 10 regions.
