President of the Creative Arts Council of Ghana, Mark Okraku Mantey, has rebutted claims being reported by a section of the online portals and broadcasting networks relating to the Deputy Minister in charge of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dr. Zimblim Barri Iddi as untrue.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Slip Entertainment, The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts is, with regards to tactics, contributing his quota to positively elevate the state of creative arts in Ghana and partakes in decision making which yield result for the ministry at large.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo appointed Dr. Zimblim Barri Iddi as Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, unfortunately, some creative arts personalities have expressed displeasure in his line of duty and performance since assuming the office.
According to the dissatisfied creative arts personalities, the Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Legon, his works are not capable of being seen or are not microscopical to the right thinking member of the society, even in the absence of the sector minister.
Speaking to the Public Relations Officer for Charter House Ghana Limited, George Quaye on Joy 99.7FM, the one time musician, Mr. Okraku Mantey revealed that, the Deputy Minister Incharge of Tourism, Culture and Creative Art’s job is a follower to a minister, who works in silence according to the objective of the ministry.
According to him, Dr. Ziblim Barri Iddi is an actively inaudible staff at the ministry who participate in every activity that is being staged which is being geared towards promoting the good works of the ministry.
The President of Creative Arts Council, Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey, also denied remours partaining to the resignation of the Director of the Creative Council, Madam Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, adding that, office of the Director of the Council has been relocated to a new venue, as her previous office is not spacious and has congested.
