Decorated and finest media personality, known in the media circles as Jay Foley believes there is nothing African in international and most watched awards show, BET awards.
The media mogul’s comment comes after names of Ghanaian artistes including Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur etc were missing from the 2021 BET list of nominees.
Nominees of this year’s BET had earlier been announced with Megan Tee Stallion and DaBaby leading with seven nominations respectively.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s morning show, ‘DaybreakHitz’, Jay Foley held the view out the ceremony is for Africans but the whites.
According to him, he doesn’t feel anything African in the upcoming Awards night.
”BET is not for us. They have what they are looking for. You don’t feel anything African in there. It is for them”
he said.
