Livingston Etse Satekla, known by stage name Stonebwoy, a Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall artist over the weekend in a ceremony organized by the University of Professional Studies, Accra Alumni got awarded for his immense contribution towards the entertainment industry.
The Burn it on music group C.E.O in his acceptance expressed gratitude for the honour made him and advised all and sundry on the benefits of getting a formal education and the need to also educate yourself outside the classroom curriculum.
Stonebwoy who was a part of the 2013 year group of the University was among the illustrious sons and daughters of the prestigious University who were invited to the 2018 alumni dinner and handing over ceremony where the newly elected executives of the association had their induction.
The event which had in attendance alumni of the University of Professional Studies who are climbing the success ladder just fine in their respective fields of endeavor had Hon. Forson Cassiel Ato, an alumni, the Member of Parliament for the Ajumako-Enyan Esiam Constituency in the central Region and a former Minister of Finance as the keynote speaker. Management of the University were also fairly represented by the Chancellor, Dr. Kinsley A. Fletcher, Prof. Goski Alabi, Dr Mustapha among others.
Stonebowy on the 28th of December will host his annual Bhim Nation concert at the Fantasy Dome – Trade Fare. It’s tipped to be the biggest Reggae Dancehall event Ghana is yet to see, do well to get tickets and support the top skanka.
