Public Relations Officer, (PRO) for Charter House Productions Limited, organizers of annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, (VGMAs) Mr. George Quaye, has confirmed the closure and submissions of filing of nominations prior to this year’s edition of awards ceremony, as the board is set to commence preparations towards the house.
The organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) earlier this year revealed a press statement to open the nominations for its 20th edition. The statement signed by the PRO for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, declared that interested participants can pick up nomination forms from the offices of Charterhouse Productions Ltd or download the forms from www.ghanamusicawards.com.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, since its inception in 2000 has grown to become the biggest event on the Ghanaian Entertainment Calendar, designed among other things, to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the various players in Ghana’s music industry.
Speaking in a phone-in interview with entertainment show critique cum DJ and Musician, Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz 103.9fm, Mr. Quaye noted that they’ve received about an estimated 600 entries from various musicians across Ghana. He also noted that, the huge number of entries this year can bring a possible companies in the upcoming event.
The Public Relations Officer for organization entity revealed that, in contrast to previous edition of the award ceremony, the board could get a lot of filing of nominations but not many of them could be eligible, adding that, this year’s edition has saw the teeming mass of artistes filing for nomination making it a scope of work for the board.
Public Relations Officer for Charter House Productions Limited, Mr. George Quaye added that, the event is slated to occur on the fifth month of the year, May with series of activities to be staged as a build up to the main event.
