This is a complete list of all the winners from the just held MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2025 in each category.
LL Cool J hosted the star-studded night broadcast of the 42nd annual MTV Video Music Awards, which took place in the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 7, 2025. Lady Gaga was the largest winner of the evening, winning four Moon Person prizes, including the coveted Artist of the Year award, and leading the nominations with twelve.
Music superstars were also honoured at the ceremony: Ricky Martin and Busta Rhymes were given the first-ever Rock the Bells Visionary Award and the Latin Icon Award, respectively, while Mariah Carey was given her eagerly anticipated Video Vanguard Award.
Ariana Grande won Video of the Year and Best Pop for “Brighter Days Ahead,” Rosé & Bruno Mars won Song of the Year for “APT,” Alex Warren won Best New Artist, Sabrina Carpenter won Best Album for “Short n’ Sweet,” and Tyla won Best Afrobeats, a worldwide victory, among other major competitive categories.
