Wizkid features on Chris Brown’s “BREEZY” album – set for a June 24 release

Nigerian afrobeats artiste, Wizkid; rap mogul, Lil Wayne; English singer, Ella Mai; American R&B singer, H.E.R.; Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez, and more will reportedly feature on Chris Brown’s “BREEZY” album, which is set for a June 24 release.

On Tuesday (May 17), the multi-platinum selling American singer shared the official cover art photo for the much anticipated album, which will be released via Chris Brown Entertainment/RCA Records. Though he has not unveiled the album’s tracklist, he hinted at the features on his Instagram stories and claimed more could be on the album.

Breezy is the follow-up to his 2019 album Indigo, which included the Grammy-nominated single ‘No Guidance’ with Drake. Indigo debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 108,000 equivalent units in its first week.

Brown said in July 2021, while working on the album, that he wanted to make some “really endearing music” that “talk to women’s soul”. In February 2022, he stated on his Instagram account that the album would contain some pure R&B material. He later said that on some of the album’s songs he wanted to depict “a different type of love mixed with heartbreak”

On August 2, 2021 Brown announced on his Instagram that his Breezy album would be accompanied by a short film of the same name. It is the second time that Brown gives a visual storyline to one of his albums, the first being with Royalty music videos.
