Wizkid to headline Rolling Loud Toronto festival

Expanding from Miami, New York, and Southern California, the organizers of the Rolling Loud festival have announced the lineup for its Toronto installment.

Set for September 9-11 at Ontario Place in Toronto, the traveling festival will feature Nigerian artist Wizkid, American rap heavyweight Future, and the UK’s Dave, as headliners, and will mark Rolling Loud’s first foray into Canada and its fourth festival in four different countries in 2022. Tickets for Rolling Loud Toronto go on sale April 29 at 12 p.m. ET.

Rolling Loud teased the announcement on social media on Monday by posting an illustration of Toronto’s skyline and launching a Rolling Loud Toronto Instagram account.

Rolling Loud will return to Miami in July, with Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Future headlining. This summer, the festival will also take place in Portugal, with a lineup that includes A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, and Future, as well as the Netherlands, with a lineup that includes J. Cole, Roddy Rich, and Future. The Toronto announcement appears to be the latest step in Rolling Loud’s global expansion strategy.

Last year, Rolling Loud and the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) announced a partnership to promote awareness of social justice issues. The organization will prioritize activism and community through a series of panel discussions, fundraising efforts and more throughout the three-day festival. Discussions will feature industry thought leaders, activists, and musicians who have used their platforms to advocate for change.
