Ghana’s sensational hip life rapper, Kwaku Nsia Boama, professionally known as Flowking Stone has revealed that, most event organizers, entertainment industry players concentrate on the performing acts brands residing in the capital city, Accra, ignoring the outstanding quality and well endowed artistes in other regions.
According to rapper Flowking Stone, he was one of the actively and fully engaged musician Ghana has ever produced, using 2018 as the year under review, as he garnered 80 percent of his shows in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, adding that, he was hardly noticed because the focal point of entertainment is, Accra.
Rapper Flowking Stone mentioned that, all events centers including the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC), the National Theatre, the Fantasy Dome, the Banquet Hall of the State House are all situated in Accra, depriving performing arts residing in other regions a chance to outdoor their talent.
An expression of grievance and resentment about the music industry has been the disorder in the country, as other region-based musicians expressed displeasure in some event organizers and the creative arts for making Greater Accra region their talents hub, ignoring other gifted young arts in other regions.
However, speaking in an interview to Graphic Showbiz, the ”Go Low” hit maker concur with such grudge and acrimoniousness complains, explaining that, majority of mainstream musicians have made Greater Accra region their habitat, which deduced that, you need to reside in the capital city of Ghana to be able to achieve your peak in Ghana’s music scene.
The sensational hip life rapper also lay bare an information, revealing that, being successful outside the jurisdictions of the Greater Accra region, is one of the difficult task to achieve as musician in Ghana’s entertainment setting.
Rapper Flowking Stone revealed that, most musicians who reside in a different region are risking their talent of missing greater opportunities. He explained that, most event organizers outdoor and stage their great shows in the Accra making it a hitch for other artistes who don’t reside in the capital city have a bite.
