There is a controversial and heated arguments and debates ongoing as to whether Ghanaian artistes should or should not do Highlife strictly.
Ghanaian dancehall act, Shatta Wale and Highlife singer, Dada Hafco had earlier suggested for Ghanaian artistes to champion one genre, Highlife to be specific.
But Baba Sadiq doesn’t believe in that. Speaking on the topic on Hitz FM’s ‘DaybreakHitz’, held the view that the industry cannot have one genre.
According to him, even though he holds the view that the industry cannot have one genre, if Highlife would culturally help to project the country’s music to the world market, artistes should do it.
”If Highlife would culturally help to project our music to the world market, why not?”
he quizzed.
