Flytime Promotions Announces Tiwa Savage As Headliner For Rhythm Unplugged Festival.

Flytime Promotions has announced the line-up for the five-day Rhythm Unplugged festival at Eko Hotel Convention Hall in Lagos, Nigeria, starting on 20 December.

Known for its support of the local music industry, Rhythm Unplugged has hosted and showcased some of the biggest artists in Nigeria and the diaspora, including 2Baba, Wyclef Jean, P-Square and African China, among others.

“This year’s concert is the biggest show ever,” Flytime Promotions CEO Cecil Hammond said. “We will feature Tiwa Savage, Boyz II Men, Megan Thee Stallion, Mase, formerly of Bad Boy Records, Kofee and many others. We have always been proud to launch upcoming Nigerian artists to stardom from the Flytime stage.”

The music festival will kick off with Jamaican reggae musician Koffee on 20 December. The following day will see music fans travel down memory lane with icons Boyz II Men, who are set to perform their ’90s R&B classics.

The third day of the festival, titled Alternative Style Night, will feature American rapper, singer and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion. The ‘Hot Girls Summer’ hitmaker will be performing in Nigeria for the first time alongside a number of local Afrobeats artists.

Day Four, dubbed Everything Savage, will play host to Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage, while 24 December will be a rest day for the festival. Christmas Day will reveal a surprise Nigerian A-lister, whom the organisers have opted not to announce yet.

Rhythm Unplugged is tagged as West Africa’s longest-running music festival. It has been held annually since 2004, making the 2019 edition its 15th. The 2018 featured Burna Boy, Olamide, Duncan Mighty, D’banj, M.I Abaga, Falz, Wande Coal, Bobby Brown and Bell Biv DeVoe.
