“I don’t want to be a Star”, Fameye Reconsiders his decision of becoming a global phenom

Rising Ghanaian singer, Fameye, seems to want more out of his career than he ever dreamt of.

Becoming a star remains almost every music artiste’s dream, and the singer had the same ambition while working his way up the ladder. However, time changes, and so has Fameye’s dreams.

Also known as St. Peter, the singer/ songwriter was billed to perform on a good number of shows during the Christmas season, and he lived up to expectation. After his performance at Kojo Antwi’s Lover’s Celebration concert, he related to Joy Entertainment’s Doreen Avio that he wants to be more than a star.

While speaking about his highest points in 2021, he explained that as an upcoming artiste, he “wanted to blow up”.

He said “I wanted to be a star, but now I feel like I don’t want to be a star”.

Fameye revealed that he has finally discovered himself, hinting
“I want to be a messenger, I want to be a preacher and preach to the people the message I have for them, which is coming from the spirit”.

Fameye, who was recently enstooled in the Western Region as ‘Wassa Nyankonton’, admits that another of his 2021 brightest moments remains the success of his single ‘Praise’, whose video has garnered over 1.4 million views on YouTube. However he is determined to make 2022 even better as he seeks to complete his unfinished projects.

Fans can look forward to at least two projects from Fameye as he works on releasing an album and an EP, Songs of Peter and Four Chapters of Peter respectively.

The growing success of his last two released songs, Mercy and Susuka, is proof that 2022 promises to be an even better year from the Bogoso star.
