“I wasn’t paid for my feature on Sarkodie’s One Million Cedis single,” Ink Boy reveals

Ink Boy has revealed that he was never paid for his performance on rapper Sarkodie’s new single “One Million Cedis”.

Earlier this week, BET Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie was the target of criticism after the official music video for his “One Million Cedis” single was premiered without the Nigeria-based singer, who was featured on the song. The track appeared as a single on the rapper’s 2022 R&B, Afrobeats, Amapiano, and tropical pop album “Jamz”. Sarkodie received harsh condemnation for the behavior on social media, with many commentators branding him as selfish.

Replying to a social media user who told the composer to elevate his career with the amount he was paid for his feature to gain mainstream recognition, Ink Boy revealed that he wasn’t compensated for his contribution to the song. The user, identified as “Heavy Hitta!!” (@Marvinnnnn_g)”, wrote: “Invest in yourself with what you were paid from the feature.” The “Let Me Know” singer responded, “So you think I was paid?”
