Kendrick Lamar brings Security Guard to tears with performance of “Love” | WATCH

Kendrick Lamar brought a security guard to tears during a recent stop on his The Big Steppers Tour.

In a viral clip circulating on social media, a security guard is seen wiping tears from his face while the Compton rapper performs “Love,” the Zacari-featured track off his 2017 album DAMN. The video ends with the guard collecting himself and rapping the line, “I’m like an exit away,” as he bobs his head to the beat.

During his performance at Glastonbury in June, Kendrick opened up about the meaning behind his latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

“So many faces, y’all blessed me to be upon this stage,” he said. “And you know we blessed to make sure we give y’all some sh*t you feel, and that’s the real reason why I wrote Mr. Morale, because everybody’s going through something… No matter what you’re going through, imperfection is beautiful.”

Kendrick’s five month, 65-date trek kicked off July 19 in Oklahoma City, and is set to make stops in Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, among other cities, before heading overseas in October. From there, Lamar will hit cities such as Amsterdam, Prague, and Paris, before wrapping things up December 16 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Released back in May, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers debuted atop the Billboard 200, while every track from the LP debuted in the Billboard Hot 100. Kendrick also had four songs debut in the Top 10, becoming the seventh artist to accomplish the feat, joining the likes of Drake, Bad Bunny, Lil Wayne, Future, Juice WRLD, and J. Cole.
