Lack Of Self Believe And Identity Is Killing Ghana Music – Kwabena Kwabena.

Kwabena Kwabena, a Ghanaian musician, guitarist, and an accomplished draftsman has posited in an interview that lack of self believe and identity for our music is the cause of the stifle growth of the music industry.

The singer who inked a juicy record deal with Prince Nana Boakye a.k.a Papa Loggy’s label a month ago during his first ever interview under the label after the release of his hit single ”Tokro” shared the below with Countryman Songo on the Fire For Fire show when asked to diagnose the reason for the stifle growth in the industry.

”Lack of self-Believe and musical identity is our problem, we need to look for our identity, its good now we have taken the path to find ourselves. We need to have a voice and a face Ghana will present to the world and I’m happy we are on the right track.”

He continued and suggested the way forward saying, ” We are believing in highlife music, we are now singing and the too much rap is dwindling. It’s the right step.” He ended.

The ”Tokro” hitmaker, who over time has been a standing advocate against the catfight and petty squabbles between industry people took the opportunity on the show to reiterate the need for industry people to stop such acts as investors and corporate Ghana is on the fence and watching. This happening can negatively affect their choice to invest in the industry.
