Students’ Representative Council of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has come under serious public backlash and attack over a whopping 9.9 billion old GH cedis as total cost of it’s 2020/ 2021 Mid Year Budget Statement ( First Semester).
SRC of the biggest educational institution in the country will be needing a total and whopping sum of Nine Hundred Thousand, Nine Hundred ( GHC 900, 900) to spend in it’s Mid Year ( First Semester).
Following the release of the controversial Budget Statement by the Council, social media users have expressed great shock over the money being expected to be spent.
One of the controversial items on the Budget that has raised a lot of questions and mixed reactions is Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis ( GHC 100, 000) needed by the Council for it’s website.
Some Ghanaian social media users and critics have tagged President of the SRC and his executives as corrupt as the country’s politicians.
They believe executives of the institution’s SRC are on their way to steal and loot the county’s resources following their First Semester’s Budget Statement’s total whopping.
Meanwhile, President of the SRC, has quoted a Bible verse from Hebrews to defend himself following backlash from the public.
