The MTN Zone bundle is set to return with a revised price, the boss of the National Communication Authority announced.
Data Zone Bundle is an innovation by MTN Ghana that gives customers a one-day validity bundle at discounted rates at the point of purchase through the shortcode “135”.
It was suspended on Wednesday (April 5) following “a review carried out in line with the Significant Market Power (SMP) directives,” the telecommunication giant said in a statement.
The news was announced at a press briefing hosted by the National Communications Authority (NCA) on Wednesday, April 26th, at the NCA Tower, Airport City, Accra. The ceremony, which focused on matters of the SIM Registration Exercise and Significant Market Power (SMP) with a focus on the MTN Data Zone Bundle, was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Information.
Speaking at the press briefing, the Director General of the National Communication Authority, Joe Anokye revealed that the MTN data zone bundle “will return soon” after the telecom operator “submitted a revised data zone bundle that meets the regulatory requirement.”
