People with several talents abound in Ghana’s entertainment industry. It’s safe to say they’re a “jack of all trades and a master of none.” GBAFRICA.NET will take you some Multi-talented Ghanaian Celebs You Probably Didn’t Know About

You most likely aren’t aware of certain Ghanaian celebs’ other abilities. Let’s take a look at a few of them who have talents beyond what we know about them.

Nana Ama McBrown

Felicity Ama Agyemang is her true name. She is best known for her work as an actor, but she is much more. She also does a fantastic job as a television host and presenter. McBrown’s Kitchen and United Showbiz are the two programmes she now hosts.

She can also sing, as evidenced by her renditions of Kofi Kinaata’s smash song “Things Fall Apart” and Stonebwoy’s “Sobolo.” Is there anything else I can say?

2. Asamoah Gyan

He’s a footballer first and foremost. Liberty Professionals, Udinese, Modena, Rennes, Sunderland, Al Ain, Shanghai SIPG, Al Ahli, and Kayserispor are among the clubs he has played for. He is currently employed for NorthEast United in India.

When he brought down a superbly weighted pass from Stephen Appiah on his chest and coolly placed the ball past Czech Republic’s Petr Cech in the 2006 World Cup, he scored the fastest goal in the tournament (after 68 seconds).

After scoring against Portugal in Ghana’s final game to bring his WC tally to six goals, he became the highest African goal scorer, breaking Cameroon’s Roger Milla’s record of five goals.

Individual accolades include BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2010, UAE Pro League Top Scorer in 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2013-14, AFC Champions League Top Scorer in 2014, and AFC Foreign Player of the Year in 2014. Clearly, Asamoah Gyan’s ability as a striker is undeniable.

But he has other interests as well; he is a musician and a tennis player. In 2010, he shot to fame as a musician with the smash tune “African Girls,” which he co-wrote with Castro. The song had widespread exposure in Ghana and abroad; Gyan was playing for Sunderland at the time, and the song was frequently played whenever he scored a goal.

Castro became his musical partner after they created the hit singles “Do the Dance” and “Odo Pa.” Gyan also has a song called “Dirty Enemies” with Stonebwoy. Gyan also has a band called the ASA Band.

And then there’s Asamoah Gyan’s tennis “obsession”! In a friendly tennis match on May 31, 2020, Asamoah Gyan defeated Baboo. What difference does it make? Ismaila Nii Lante Lamptey (Baboo), the player he beat, is a tennis champion who has won three of the previous four editions of the Tema Tennis Singles Open. He began his tennis “relationship” in 2006, but after multiple “break-ups,” he chose to stay devoted to tennis approximately 11 months ago.

So, to summarize Asamoah Gyan, he enjoys football, music, and tennis. I failed to mention that he’s also a great dancer!
