Legendary rapper, Okyeame Kwame has given a well experienced lecture to young Ghanaian artistes on how they can get international deals. Speaking on Adom TV’s ‘Ahosepe Xtra’ show, Okyeame Kwame pointed out that the creation of indigenous sounds is the easiest way of getting deals internationally.
The rapper on the show indicated that Ghanaian musicians such as Santrofie band, King Ayisoba and others have been appearing on international platforms as musicians who represents traditional music.
He says, “however, the key thing or easiest way to do it, is to play music which is indigenous and afterwards, you get yourself an indigenous look” – disclosing that he was booked for over 20 shows in the States after the release of his ‘Made In Ghana’ album though he couldn’t travel due to COVID-19.
