Omziki Distribution signs strategic partnership with streamer Audiomack

The Omziki Distribution platform and the music streaming service Audiomack have signed a strategic alliance with the aim of transforming the distribution process for content owners.

With this new partnership, Omziki will make the most of the streamer’s advanced technological infrastructure and wide-ranging worldwide audience—which currently numbers more than 25 million monthly users—to enable artists to easily display their skills and broaden their fan bases outside of the realm of convention. The initiative, according to Omziki, also heralds in a change toward a distribution model that is more artist-centric, stating that this new strategy frees up content owners to concentrate on what matters most: making excellent music.

“Omziki Distribution has consistently paved the way for emerging and established musicians in East Africa, enabling them to reach a wider audience through various digital platforms,” a statement from Audiomack reads. “By joining forces with Audiomack, Omziki Distribution enhances its service offerings, ensuring a more efficient and hassle-free experience for content owners.”

“This partnership is a groundbreaking one for Omziki because it satisfies the needs of content owners who have been looking for easy and fast ways to get their music on Audiomack,” Jonilar told Music In Africa, adding that the move is among a series of innovations his outfit is rolling out for the African music sector.

The agreement comes few weeks after the recruitment of digital specialist Jonathan “Jonilar” Nii Laryea as Ghana country director and brand ambassador following the platform’s launch in Ghana. The move constitutes part of Omziki Distribution’s aim to improve its presence in the wider West Africa market, which is already home to similar companies including EMPIRE, ONErpm and Tieme.
