Paul Bongo Campaigns For Highlife To Be Branded And Pushed To The World Market

Ghanaian highlife singer and songwriter Bongo Paul has released a colourful music video for his ‘Soul Mate’ single, testifying his readiness for the year.

The outlaw-directed and shot video is a testament to Bongo’s high taste for quality audio-visual elements. The video which is currently amassing huge views on YouTube symbolizes love and affection.

Released last year 2023, the song talks about love and affection. The singer uses his melodious voice to eulogize his ‘soul Mate’.

Speaking in a post-video release interview, Bongo hinted at an EP, scheduled to be released in December 2024. According to him, a single will be released in October before the release of the EP.

Speaking on the country’s genre which is ‘Highlife’, he urged Ghanaian artists to brand it and push it to the world market. He believes Highlife will gain huge recognition just like Afrobeats and Amapiano if it is branded and marketed globally.

In the end, the ‘Soul Mate’ singer stressed that Azonto would have been Ghana’s biggest international export if it had been pushed and marketed.
