Shatta Michy, has congratulated Gyakie for using her talent to achieve global status.
Speaking as a guest on The Ladies Circle on Tv3, the Ghanaian singer and TV host lauded “Forever” hit make for how she has handled herself positively in the music industry, a mark she decibes as worth emmulating.
“In the music industry most female artist expose their bodies to gain attention and success but Gyakie as an artist has changed the game by proving that you don’t have to expose yourself sexually to exceed in the music industry”, Michy said
She continued, “I’m making sure that when I return to the music business, I’ll build on a quality voice and not expose myself.” She claims that although she used to dress in translucent material, she will no longer do so when she rejoins the music industry and will instead term her style sexy and traditional rather than good.
Michy hopes that more female artists including herself will follow in Gyakies’s footsteps and focus on their talent and artistry rather than relying on their bodies to gain attention.
