Takoradi, Kumasi, Koforidua, Tamale Battle For Hosting Right of BHiM Concert.

GREATER ACCRA, GHANA – Summing up to four (4) capital cities out the 16 regions in Ghana, Koforidua, Tamale, Kumasi, and Takoradi are keen and contesting for the hosting rights for the 2019 installment of the annual concert hosted by multiple awards winning reggae-dancehall artiste; Stonebwoy dubbed the “BHiM Concert”

For the best of reasons known to the Burniton Music Group (BMG) and the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) of the record label, Stonebwoy, this year’s edition of the most attend outdoor musical concert will be staged and hosted out of the capital city of Ghana, with plans of taking it to either, Tamale, Koforidua, Takoradi, and Kumasi.

Reggae/Dancehall god, Stonebwoy, is readying for yet another thrilling edition of the renowned BHIM concert. Last year’s ‘Fill The Dome’ edition saw thousands of fans packed up inside the Fantasy Dome and served good music that exceeded expectation. While we wait for the host city to be announced, let’s go through the suggested cities, to check which the cap will fit;

KUMASI – Kumasi is the capital city of the Ashanti Region, in southern Ghana. It’s known as a center for Ashanti culture. In the huge, open-air Kejetia Market, stalls sell everything from glass beads to Ashanti sandals. The National Cultural Centre offers craft workshops and dance performances. It includes the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, which displays jewelry and ceremonial clothing belonging to the 20th-century Ashanti king.

KOFORIDUA, also popularly known as K-dua or kof town, is a city and capital of Eastern Region in south Ghana. The city was founded in 1875 . The city has a settlement city proper population of 183,727 people in 2010. The city is an amalgamation of 2 Manucipalities New Juaben North and South.The centre of the city is made up of a blend of colonial and present day architecture. Koforidua serves as a commercial centre for the Eastern region and New-Juaben Municipal District. The city is home to many businesses, with the exception of heavy duty industries.

TAMALE – Tamale is the capital city of the Northern Region of Ghana, West Africa. It’s known for its traditional mosques and large Central Mosque. The Centre for National Culture sells handicrafts and stages music and dance performances. The Central Market has goods like fabric and fruit. East of Tamale are local kraal buildings with conical straw roofs. To the west, Mole National Park is home to elephants and leopards.

SEKONDI-TAKORADI, a city comprising the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi. It is the capital of Sekondi – Takoradi Metropolitan District and the Western Region of Ghana. Sekondi-Takoradi is the region’s largest city and an industrial and commercial centre, with a population of 445,205 people (2012). The chief industries in Sekondi-Takoradi are timber, cocoa processing, plywood, shipbuilding, its harbour and railway repair, and recently, sweet crude oil and crude oil. The fundamental job in Sekondi-Takoradi is fishing. Sekondi-Takoradi lies on the main railway lines to Kumasi and Accra.
