TINA’20: “Festival Creates Avenue For Africans To Know About Their Heritage. – Rapper Sarkodie.

As we prepare for TINA Festival 2020,  the culminating event for Ghana Tourism Authority’s Year of Return, multiple awards winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo professionally known as, Sarkodie has revealed that, the festival is creates an avenue where Africans can be proud of their heritage.

According to the 2012 Black Entertainment Tv (BET) Best International Act – Africa winner, “This Is New Africa” (TINA) festival is aimed at reuniting the Global African Diaspora through building a platform for Africans to come together to promote African’s culture through music.

Sarkodie added that, the festival is also aimed at appreciating and empowering Africans to accept and support African culture as it will create a platform to get the diaspora come back home and experience the African culture; to experience Ghana.

The two times Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) Artiste of the Year, Sarkodie, they are extending an invitation to the African diaspora to come back home, establish their businesses and help build the New Africa.

However speaking on English traiditional media; British Broadcasting Co-operation (BBC), Ghanian-English visionary and Global Afro-beat star Fuse ODG, shared his belief that, Africans must reject tired narratives portraying them as inferior.

According to him, New African Nation is not the Africa, the media shows on television because, the western media likes to portray Africa as poverty-stricken with flies around its mouth, as he opined that, New Africa Nation is a whole new nation with a new mentality where they tell their stories which is success, great fashion, great food and great dance.
