Video: ”Artistes Have Abandoned The Ghanaian Sound In Producing Music” – Trigmatic Expresses Grief.

Awards winning Ghanaian born rapper, Enoch Yaw Oduro-Agyei, who performs as, Trigmatic has expressed grief at the high rate at which Ghanaian entertainment personalities have found pleasure in neglecting the indigenous Ghanaian style of producing music and it visual content, stating that, it does not elevate the culture of the people.

According to the ‘My Life’ hit maker, some artistes have carefully cultivate Soka sound from Trinidad, Fuji sound from Nigeria to aid in producing their audio and visual content, explaining that, it would have been great and appealing, should Ghanaian musicians employ the indigenous Ghanaian sound on to their master piece.

Trigmatic stated that, when Ghanaian entertainment personalities critically direct their gaze at legendary highlife musicians in Ghanaian, specifically Uncle Ebo Taylor and Ampfo Agyei’s you could deduce and feel an afrobeats which was fused in from Highlife music, Fuji music and a half of western beats.

The rapper unveiled that, Ghanaian are noted for the highlife genre of music which is has been purposefully arranged from various sounds in the Ghanaian setting. The rapper stated that, there is the Dagomba highlife, there is the Yaa Amponsah, there is the Gome, there is so much and the Current Ghanaian has the liability in hiring such sound in their music.

Speaking as a guest to DJ Andy Dosty on Hitz 103.9 Fm’s flagship entertainment show tagged ‘Daybreak Hitz’, the radio personality, stated a lashing of Ghanaian musicians have come into the company of tolerating and affirmatively considering the thread of using foreign sounds on to their music, unintentionally forgetting that, the foreign sound they employ in their tunes had their trace and origination from the Ghana.

Meanwhile, rapper Trigmatic revealed that, incorporating the indigenous Ghanaian sound on to his music has become a daily dose and norm of him, adding the much needed aesthetic to his songs, making his end product pleasing and harmonious to his target group and Ghanaians at large, stating that, he has turned down request of him towing the normal trend in producing music.

The ‘Sika Nti’ hit maker stated that, some artistes are towing the normal thread of producing music in Ghana, which makes their effort futile, explaining that the Ghanaians don’t practice music preservation, which results to the fading out of the indigenous sounds. According to him, some artistes are having a fruitful music career due to the sacrifices they indulged in creating unique sound.
