Y’ello, Valued Customer, You Will Be Required To Submit A National ID Card For All Momo Transactions Effective 2nd April – MTN Reminds MoMo Users

Mobile Telecommunications Network ( MTN) has reminded all users of it’s Mobile Money ( MoMo) service that effective tomorrow 2nd April 2021, they would be required to submit National ID cards at agent points for all MoMo transactions.

This according to the Telecommunications Network in a Facebook post earlier today 1st April is to provide extra security for accounts of users of the service.

MTN had earlier in a series of messages notified their customers that they would be required to submit a valid National card at agent points effective 2nd April for all transactions.

According to the Telecommunications Network giant, the service update is necessary and needful to protect accounts and cashes of their customers.

Reminding users of the service ahead of tomorrow in a social media post, they said the valid National ID requirement to be in effect tomorrow is to ensure safer transactions.

” Y’ello Valued Customer, to provide extra security for your Momo, you will be required to submit a valid National ID card at agent points for all MoMo transactions starting April 2. This is to ensure a safer transactions.

Meanwhile, some users of the service have reacted to MTN’s ID card requirement policy to be in effect tomorrow, expressing their displeasures.
