“Zylofon Is Not In A Good Condition” – A&R Manager Willie Roi

Rumors being disseminated by a cross section of media has it that, Zylofon Music which is a subsidiary of Zylofon Media has stopped it business dealings with it other creative art players due to some financial discomfort the firm is facing.

Refuting these rumors circulating within the media reportage and making contrary arguments, Artiste and Repertoire Manager at the Zylofon Music Record label, Willie Roi has stated that, the music record label has not folded it business operations compactly.

According to the Multi-talented instrumentalist, the music recording label under the leadership of Nana Appiah Mensah is still in existence and does what it is intended to do to uproar the retrogressed entertainment fraternity in Ghana.

Responding to some series of questions, the artiste and repertoire manager at the Zylofon Music record label revealed that, non-essential staffs at the record label were quizzed to officially proceed on leave due to some series of threats issued to them by customers from the parent company, Menzgold Ghana Limited as a result of its inability to pay-off dividends.

According to singer Willie Roi who revealed to entertainment critique, Prince Tsegah on Asempa 94.7 Fm’s “Zoblazo” show stated that, Zylofon Music Record Label and Zylofon Media which are subordinate institutions to Menzgold Ghana are facing some financial instability as a result of lack of sponsorship from Menzgold Ghana.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), forthwith halted activities of the gold-trading firm, Menzgold Ghana Company, who were alledged to be operating without geniune licence.

Artiste and Repertoire manager, Willie Roi revealed that, artistes signed on to the record label are fortunate, stating that, the high level of good hospitality given to them can’t be replicated any where on the globe.

Willie Roi urged Ghana’s entertainment industry players to support the positive progress of Zylofon Media to the benefit of Ghana, since it is the sole surviving record label in Ghana, adding that, government is unable to deliver it promises made to the creative arts industry.
