Afrochella Releases Schedule For Its 3rd Issue.

Culture Management Group present’s its 3rd annual Afrochella Festival sponsored by Visa, Twitter, Audiomack, and Bacardi. The festivities start on December 26th, 2019 to January 1st, 2020 with the main event happening at El Wak Stadium on December 28th, 2019 in Accra.

This year’s leading talent consists of Sarkodie, Samini, Tiwa Savage, and Wande Coal. Other vital performances and showcases from across Africa and the African diaspora include Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Mercedes Benson (UK), Neya Music (Tanzania), Amarachi Nwosu (Nigeria) and more.

Afrochella’s Talent Manager, Khadijat El-Alawa says, this year’s festival is a melting pot of talent and creativity that proves the unlimited capabilities of African people. ”

“We’re creating an experience that brings together some of the brightest rising artists and some of the most celebrated African acts on the same stage. In celebration with Ghana’s Year of Return, everyone present will be empowered to believe in themselves and the greatness of our continent, Africa.”

The main event starts at noon GMT. The field will encompass a variety of vendors, art showcases, fashion pop-up installations as well as an African Chop Bar where Afrochellans can experience authentic cuisines made in-front of them.

2019 is the festival’s first year with two stages. Audiomack sponsors the new Rising Stars Stage as a way to promote up and coming talent from Africa. GrapeVine TV will also be using this stage for their live discussion at 3 PM GMT.

The stadium grounds will have art installations, live graffiti paintings, fashion pop-ups, and a variety of food vendors, including Afrochella’s Afrofood Truck. This year’s unique vendors include Starbites, Cupcake boutique, Rice Express, The Smoking Patty, and The Office Waakye.

The festival is introducing its first chill lounge and African Chop Bar experience where attendees can experience authentic cuisine made in front of them.Culture Management Group (CMG) has also expanded its celebration for Ghana Tourism Authority’s Year of Return to include a Panel Talk series, African Royalty Night, and exquisite light show exhibition.

The light show exhibition is by the festival’s Art Director, Vernell Akyeapong, and will be open to the public from starts December 20th – January 5th, 2020, at Untamed Empire. Afrochella Talks panel discussion at BBnZ will include key media representatives like Tunde Ogundipe (Spotify), Ivie Ani (Journalist), Dani Kwateng-Clark (Teen Vogue) and Juls (Producer) more.
