Epixode to headline Accra’s Alliance Française for Lamajo Festival on Dec. 1 | BUY TICKETS HERE

Epixode has announced a festival, arts and culture show at Accra’s Alliance Française on Thursday (December 1) – find details and a link to buy tickets here: Epixode Lamajo Festival.

Dubbed “Lamajo Festival,” the Accra-based reggae & dancehall artiste, acclaimed for his electrifying performances, will deliver an unforgettable show at the iconic venue with surprise guest performances from Kwabena Kwabena, Abiana, Trigmatic, Mr. Drew, Fameye, Amerado, Dela Botri, Worlasi, Kwaakwa, Elevanted and other surprise acts on the day plus a special arts exbihition for arts lovers.

Epixode’s latest EP, “Atia Archive,” was released on October 21, following the commercial success of the reggae version of “ATIA,”  his 2022 single. The ten-track project explores a variety of genres, spanning reggae, ragga, highlife, hip hop, jazz, afrobeats, and folk, as well as featuring guest contributions from Kwabena Kwabena, Mr. Drew, Lipstick Band, Kwaakwa, Abiana, and more.

Parading himself as a serenader, he swoons an imaginary lover he calls ‘Atia’ in the song, with sweet and catchy melodies. He rides softly with sparsely composed lyrics in popular Ghanaian languages Twi, Ga, with bits of English and Jamaican lingo, Patois — the Twi is more visible in the song — a ploy he used to relate to his immediate audience.

Epixode is a Ghanaian born Reggae/Dancehall and Afrobeats Crooner born as Theophilus Nii Arday. He has played many major concerts within and outside Ghana sharing stages with Grammys nominees like Rocky Dawuni, Etana, Gramps Morgan; he has also played with other heavyweights like Stonebwoy, Samini, Shatta Wale, Mavado, Alkaline, Popcaan, Jah Vinci, Sarkodie, Edem, just to name a few.
