NPP Never Approached Me After My ‘Happy Day’ Song – Sarkodie Clears The Air

Africa’s decorated rap icon and god, born Michael Owusu Addo, better known by his stage name as Sarkodie says he was never approached by the ruling NPP government.

Sarkodie had earlier come under public backlash for endorsing the Akufo- Addo government in his ‘Happy Day’ song – The song dropped before the 2020 general elections features Lynx Entertainment and Highlife act Kuami Eugene.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, the rapper stated emphatically that there was no political approach to the song.

”I was not approached by the NPP after Happy Day. There was no political approach to it”

he said.

The rapper added;

”I knew the effect of the “Nana toaso” line in Happy Day”

Meanwhile, Sarkodie was accused by the opposition NDC party of taking money from the ruling government for his controversial song.
